Abraham Lincoln said...

“Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others.” – Abraham Lincoln.

Marry this to the fact that the sitting President on the day of Justice Scalia’s death was President Obama, the people’s choice for the office, duly elected and legally the holder of the office until January of 2017.

According to Lincoln we should not tolerate your violation of the law that clearly states our President has the right to appoint a replacement Justice. Nor should you be allowed to delay your responsibility to vote on that selection.

By the blood of the revolution, sir, uphold the law, or we the people will tear you down. If not in body, surely in reputation. Your name shall be trampled into the same mud as others who have threatened our democracy.

~My desperate note to the speaker of the house and the majority leader in the senate.
