Three : Thirteen
That’s a ratio. From what I remember from math class oh so long ago, for every thirteen of x there were three of y. In 2007, x = weeks apart; y = weeks together. I mean the wife and I. No, neither of us were on extended tours of duty in the blood and money pit that is Iraq. Yes, we were both, for the most part, working in our chosen fields. Still and all, for every thirteen weeks alone you get three together...stinks. And we are the lucky ones. The vast majority of the rest of humanity has it much worse.
